The Principal Product Marketer is passionate about financial services and technology that can transform the lending industry. In this role, you will provide marketing and thought leadership for our products and services, creating meaningful engagement with Total Expert’s customers and prospects. In this collaborative environment, you will be responsible for enabling our field teams as our products and business quickly grow, scaling our messaging and marketing practices at the same pace. You will be the lead product marketer for the Total Expert Lending Platform while overseeing market research, monitoring competitive activity, and engaging prospects and customers to identify their needs and prioritize use cases. Other key responsibilities include collaborating with product management to influence engineering on new features and roadmaps and guiding demand marketing to deliver key messages across various channels. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Be an expert in the mortgage and lending industries, our company, our products, and key buyers, including various stakeholder personas and their buying criteria.
  • Enhance and evolve mortgage product messaging by understanding our differentiated value
  • Easily communicate that value to our customers and the marketplace.
  • Own and drive a go-to-market plan for fast-paced product launches and updates.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support corporate programs that build awareness and drive demand for the product
  • Conduct market and customer research to understand buyer audience and develop buyer personas and buyer journey maps.
  • Develop tools that clearly articulate our value proposition at all stages of the customer lifecycle and allow the entire organization to provide meaningful and consistent messaging, including sales pitch decks, sales training, and outreach content.
  • Collaborate with the demand-gen teams to drive the social and outbound marketing efforts to increase the influenced and sourced pipeline metrics
  • Influence the product management roadmaps early in the cycle with case-driven write-ups that help constructively add or modify the road-map plans
  • Have a technical understanding of Total Expert’s mortgage product and effectively communicate those capabilities to a large audience with varying levels of product familiarity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to give and receive constructive feedback, ability to interact and partner with people at all levels and locations

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years experience in product marketing at SaaS companies, preferably FinTech
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, preferably lending experience
  • Passionate about product marketing and its role in a fast-growing, venture-backed organization
  • Excited about the mortgage industry with a strong desire to understand market trends
  • Creativity and drive to differentiate our products in the marketplace
  • Solid track record of building relationships and collaborating at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently paired with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to large groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
