The Principal Product Manager will play a crucial role in defining and driving the strategic direction of the company. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, analyzing market trends, and working closely with senior leadership to ensure that the company’s strategy aligns with its long-term goals. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, analytical leader with a strong background in strategic planning and execution.
This position is part of Product Management team located in Miami, FL and will be Remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be part of the Hematology Product Management team and report to the Director of Product Management, Hematology Innovation, responsible for upstream marketing and work closely with Strategy, Global Marketing, Program Management, R&D, Innovation and other technical teams to assess and communicate your product strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a new global biomarker strategy, required to expand the addressable market for hematology by up to $3B. The successful candidate will identify new clinical applications for our next generation hematology system through:

Strategic Planning: Develop, seek approval for, cross-functionally communicate, and execute Beckman Coulter’s strategic vision and long-term goals for a new hematology biomarker strategy by leading the strategic planning process and ensure alignment across the organization including regulatory and reimbursement strategies.

Initiative Management: Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives and projects. Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives including leading master collaborations at major academic medical centers globally across hematology, oncology and pathology divisions through Beckman Coulter and Danaher initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including R&D, finance, operations, Danaher S&T, and marketing, to lead strategic alignment and successful implementation of initiatives, including negotiating scope and investment.

Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives reporting outcomes to executives. Use data to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making.

Innovation and Growth: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in both execution and problem solving.
The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred with 14+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience

8+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results.

Lead projects with high risks and complexity, collaborating with cross-functional teams of R&D, global/regional marketing, regulatory, clinical, quality and operations.

Solid understanding of FDA requirements and product development process guidelines in a global regulatory environment.

Domestic and international travel required, 25% estimated.

US Only - The salary range for this role is $201,000 - $249,700. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
