Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Principal Product Manager, Technology Innovation & Product Discovery, you will be at the forefront of this movement - identifying the next big technological shifts, evaluating their potential, and ensuring Boost Mobile is prepared to capitalize on game-changing opportunities. Your work will directly shape our future roadmap, fueling our consumer business growth and strengthening our market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hunting the Next Big Thing(s):
    • Research and track cutting-edge technologies, trends, and breakthroughs that could redefine the industry
    • Assess how these innovations align with our long-term business strategy and consumer needs
  • Turning Ideas into Reality:
    • Own the technical feasibility assessment process - determining whether emerging technologies are practical, scalable, and valuable for our organization
    • Collaborate with our engineering leaders and subject matter experts globally to validate assumptions and explore real-world applications
  • Fueling Innovation with Experimentation & Prototyping:
    • Work closely with internal and external engineering teams to support hands-on experimentation and prototyping - transforming ideas from theory into working concepts
    • Help develop proof-of-concept models and pilot initiatives, providing critical insights that drive strategic investment decisions
  • Building the Future Roadmap:
    • Play a key role in shaping our consumer technology roadmap, helping decision-makers understand where the industry is heading and how we can stay ahead
    • Provide leadership with actionable insights and reports to guide technology investment and strategic priorities
  • Defining the Blueprint for Success:
    • Assist in the creation of Initial Technical Requirements Documents (iTRD) to ensure that innovation projects are well-defined, structured, and executable

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or advanced engineering degree (ie Master's or Doctorate) from an accredited college or university.
  • 15 years of experience building reusable technology rails (such as advanced AI/ML technologies, advanced display/optics, sensors and algorithms) that powers new categories of consumer products/services
  • 10+ years of combined experience in product management and/or innovation strategy, ideally within technology-driven organizations
  • 5+ years building, presenting and securing buy-in from senior executives and C-suite on technology strategy related to consumer products

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
