RealPage is seeking a strategic, growth-minded, and results-driven Principal Product Manager to lead growth for the eRenterPlan product line and our Renter Protection offering within the FinTech business unit. This role is accountable for turning the portfolio’s growth strategy into measurable gains in enrollment, policy count, revenue, and retention, and for owning the product experience while influencing the acquisition funnels and distribution pathways that drive them.
You will operate as the senior individual-contributor product leader for this product line: setting the multi-year growth thesis, translating it into a sequenced 12-month roadmap, and working across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Data Science, Legal/Compliance and insurance carriers to deliver it. You will also raise the bar for product craft across the Insurance team by collaborating with other Product Managers and modeling strong experimentation, analytical, and executive-communication practices. This role reports to the VP of Product Management, Insurance.
This role is ideal for a product leader who combines deep growth and funnel expertise with strong business acumen, customer empathy, and comfort operating at the intersection of proptech and insurtech – and who is energized by owning an outcome end to end.
ResponsibilitiesGrowth Strategy & Vision
- Own the growth strategy for the eRenterPlan product line, defining the multi-year vision and a sequenced, resourced set of growth bets aligned to the FinTech BU and Insurance portfolio goals.
- Identify and size new growth levers across required-unit growth, attach, enrollment conversion, persistency, pricing and packaging, and new product or coverage opportunities, and make clear trade-off recommendations on where to invest.
- Translate trends in insurance, e-commerce, proptech, insurtech, and AI into differentiated product initiatives that widen RealPage’s competitive position.
- Partner with the VP of Product Management to shape portfolio-level strategy, investment cases, and quarterly progress reporting against the growth target.
- Work with the Director of Product, Insurance AI to secure roadmap commitments and leverage AI and agentic capabilities that accelerate growth for the product line.
Product Line Ownership & Roadmap Execution
Own the roadmap for eRenterPlan and Renter Protection from ideation through launch and iteration, balancing customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility using a structured prioritization approach.
Lead the most complex, cross-cutting initiatives for the product line, including platform capabilities, suite integrations, digital resident experiences, and property management company (PMC) tooling.
Draft and ensure the quality of Product Requirements Documentation consistent with RealPage standards, supporting development velocity and minimizing re-work.
Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Operations, and other RealPage product teams to bring solutions to market, and own post-launch outcomes including go-to-market narrative and enablement for Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing.
Experimentation, Funnel & Conversion Optimization
Build and lead a rigorous experimentation program using A/B testing, rapid hypothesis validation, and test-learn-iterate cycles across resident and PMC journeys.
Own end-to-end funnel performance from offer and acquisition through enrollment, activation, renewal, and retention, and continuously optimize digital flows, messaging, and user experiences to lift conversion and persistency.
Establish clear experiment governance, shared measurement standards, and a learning backlog that other Product Managers and partner teams can build on.
Distribution, Channel & Partner Growth
Develop and execute strategies to optimize embedded distribution and adoption across the RealPage suite, PMC portfolios, and channel partners.
Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Product Marketing on PMC adoption, compliance programs, onboarding, and competitive positioning, including battlecards and messaging as new capabilities ship.
Collaborate with insurance carriers and partners to improve coverage design, product economics, and operational performance.
Customer & Market Insight
Conduct client and resident interviews, analyze behavioral, support, and survey data, and mine operational and financial metrics to deeply understand needs and unlock growth opportunities.
Represent the voice of both residents and property management stakeholders across the organization and in executive discussions, weighing customer experience alongside growth and efficiency goals.
Monitor the competitive landscape and translate market and regulatory shifts into proactive product responses.
Business Performance & Accountability
Own KPIs for the product line, including conversion, penetration rates, revenue, premium per policy, churn and retention, and customer experience outcomes.
Develop, tune, and monitor performance dashboards, and model unit economics and the business case for growth investments.
Analyze, triage, and resolve product issues affecting implementation, customer support, clients, residents, and insurance carriers.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Mentorship
Lead through influence across FinTech, insurance carriers, Legal/Compliance, Marketing, Sales, and Analytics to ensure cohesive, compliant product delivery.
Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to senior leaders, and escalate and resolve cross-team conflicts on priorities.
Mentor and coach Product Managers on roadmap quality, PRD rigor, experimentation, and data-driven decision making, and contribute to repeatable product management practices across the Insurance team.
Required
8+ years of product management experience (preferably in fintech, insurtech, proptech, SaaS, or e-commerce), including 2+ years as a senior, lead, or principal PM owning a product line end to end.
Demonstrated track record of driving measurable growth (for example enrollment, conversion, attach, revenue, or retention) through product-led and funnel-optimization initiatives.
Deep experience with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, funnel analytics, and using data to set strategy and prioritize investments.
Experience owning KPIs and business-case accountability for a product or product line, including modeling unit economics and presenting to senior executives.
Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence partners, including platform and external teams, without direct authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting strategy, risk, and trade-offs to senior leadership.
