Our AI-native platform helps more people get to “yes” at the moments that matter with personalized offers, transparent terms, and no added consumer fees. In stores, practices and service centers across the country, Sunbit provides a fast, fair pay-over-time option. For everything else, the Sunbit Credit Card delivers a modern, no-fee credit experience managed in a powerful mobile app.

We are guided by people-centered values: Serve Others Before Self, Include Always, Connect Genuinely, Innovate for Good. These values shape how we build, how we support customers and merchants, and how we work with each other.

What makes Sunbit different is an AI-native infrastructure that runs through the full customer and merchant journey. Description of Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to drive the strategy and execution for our Payment Service Provider (PSP) and Platform Partnerships initiative. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role that requires a unique blend of deep product expertise, strategic vision, and exceptional execution and communication skills.

You will be instrumental in defining and delivering the integration of Sunbit's core platform with strategic partners, including payment processing platforms and external platforms who integrate with Sunbit throughout the customer's journey from service assessment, acceptance of service through payment.

This role requires tight collaboration and communication with executive teams across the company and with external partners, and a commitment to product management excellence and the ability to drive significant results for the business.

Requirements

What You'll Do:

Strategic Partnership & Executive Communication:

  • Act as the Product owner and strategic partner for platform and PSP integrations, driving alignment on product goals, delivery timelines, and business outcomes.
  • Present and articulate the product vision, strategy, and progress for major integration initiatives directly to executive leadership both internally and at partner organizations.
  • Work closely with executive sponsors (e.g., C-level, VPs) and business development teams to evaluate and prioritize new partnership opportunities based on product feasibility and business impact.

  • Leverage deep domain, customer, and problem understanding alongside a strong grasp of the numbers to inform strategic decisions that maximize the performance of integrated platforms.
  • Define and own the key performance indicators (KPIs) for platform integrations, driving operational accountability to ensure product initiatives directly contribute to top-line business metrics.

Hands-on Product Management:

  • Act as a hands-on product manager for critical integration projects, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and definition to launch and iteration.
  • Define clear and detailed requirements, write user stories, manage backlogs, and work directly with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Ensure all product development adheres to relevant compliance and regulatory requirements within the fintech and payment processing industry.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, design, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development and go-to-market strategies for integrated platforms.

Domain Expertise:

  • Possess a deep understanding of the fundamental drivers of the business, including in person services platforms, their payment processing flows, and their partner-facing technologies.
  • Deeply understand partner requirements and the competitive landscape to identify new integration opportunities and drive platform innovation.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of progressive product management experience, with a significant focus on B2B platform, payments, or complex system integrations.
  • Proven success in an individual contributor role that requires direct and frequent interaction with executive teams for strategic alignment and reporting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex technical and business ideas clearly and concisely to both engineering and C-level audiences.
  • Hands-on experience in driving product development from conception to launch, including defining requirements, writing user stories, and managing backlogs.
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to effectively communicate complex architectural details and trade-offs with engineering teams.
  • Comfort and adaptability in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, with a "can-do" attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the Fintech domain, with a strong understanding of payment processing platforms , regulatory requirements, and platform architecture.
