Fandom is a participatory culture where fans not only consume but also shape the meaning of content. At Crunchyroll, that spirit spans the globe. As Principal Product Manager – International Growth, APAC, your mission is to ensure that anime fandom thrives across cultures, languages, and regions.
You will lead the strategy and execution of localized product experiences. You’ll focus on understanding regional trends, regulations, market-specific opportunities, and championing initiatives that enhance growth, engagement, accessibility, and authenticity for fans around the world. From analyzing territory-level performance to launching fully localized features, you'll ensure our global product resonates locally.
- Market Research & Strategy: Lead in-depth analysis of India and SEA markets, covering macroeconomic trends, digital ecosystems, and regional challenges to shape localized product strategies.
- Product Roadmap & Feature Prioritization: Develop an India and SEA specific product roadmap by evaluating customer needs, identifying service gaps, and prioritizing features based on impact and effort. Audit current user experiences, uncover pain points and opportunities, and collaborate with UX to define regional personas and journey enhancements.
- Data-Driven Insights & Feedback Loops: Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data, as well as in country activities to drive product decisions and fuel subscriber growth across India and SEA.
- Localization & Competitive Analysis: Lead localization initiatives across UI, content, payments, and language support. Analyze local competitors, address regional challenges like bandwidth constraints and content piracy, and optimize for device types, connectivity, and demographic nuances.
- Regional Advocacy & Cross-Functional Guidance: Act as the voice of India and SEA across global product, UX, and engineering teams—ensuring regional insights, user behaviors, and market dynamics are deeply embedded into feature design and strategic planning.

About You- Experienced Product Leader: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with 15+ years in product management or related field
- Established Practitioner: demonstrable experience in the domains relevant to this role.
- Trusted Collaborator: in this role, you’ll partner closely with a variety of teams across the company. You’ll need the ability to build deep and trusted relationships with these teams and work together in service of key shared strategic priorities.
- Strategic Thinker: You’ll need to understand the landscape in which we’re operating and make frequent tradeoffs and decisions around where to invest time and resources.
- Skilled Communicator: You’ll communicate your strategy and plans to executive audiences and to the company more broadly, and need the ability to communicate clearly and convincingly with a wide range of audiences.
- Outcomes Driven: Ultimately, you’ll need to produce significant, measurable results against our KPIs and company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
