What Makes You a Great Fit:
We are looking for a creative, customer-focused Principal Product Manager to lead the Invoice product area at Velocity Global. Currently, customers use our products to manage their global employee payroll and benefits. That's just a start and we have aggressive goals and plans.
Leveraging AI, you will build transformative product experiences for customer money movement as a Principal Product Manager. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, sales, finance and executive leadership to build the state-of-art financial platform that will power our next phase of growth. As Product Leader, you will create the strategy, manage the roadmap, and build on the product backlog, work with cross-functional teams to develop exceptional data and analytics products for our customers.
This role requires in-office presence in our Palo Alto office. You will be an individual contributor reporting to the Head of Payments Product.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Strategy: Work with cross functional teams to develop vision and strategy for the invoice product.
- Ownership: Align with strategy for multiple teams and create and drive a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives to achieve our strategy.
- Definition: Clearly articulate the business problems about invoice, gather evidence from users, internal team, and outside sources, clarify the potential solutions with assumptions, guiding principles, strategic connections
- Roadmap: Define the roadmap with deep understanding of the underlying financial platform, and drive prioritization of functional and non-functional requirements
- Delivery: Create user stories, and partner with business, finance and product engineering teams to manage product backlog and execution through scrum teams
- Communication: Serve as primary evangelist of invoice product and capabilities with customers, internal executive stakeholders. Participate in industry events, customer briefings, analyst briefings, and advisory boards
- Outcomes: Drive product and feature launches aligned with company goals and report key metrics
Let's Connect If You:
- 10+ years of Product Management experience
- Computer Science background or equivalent technical experience
- Experience building financial platforms, including invoicing and payments
- Experience leading initiatives across large engineering and cross functional teams, to influence roadmap planning and execution
- Hands-on experience in testing product before releasing and editing FAQ/documentation
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, structuring ambiguous concepts and from first principles
- Startup experience, either in FinTech or HR tech preferably
- Experience taking a product from 0-1 or founded a startup is preferred
