SaaS, as we know it, is being disrupted. We're not waiting to find out what happens; we're rebuilding Lodgify for an AI-native era. That means reimagining the core workflows tens of thousands of property managers rely on every day, not as a cosmetic refresh, but from the ground up.
We have a talented design team, and we're looking for a Principal Designer to lead the strategic layer between our product bets and the experience direction that should drive them. This role owns that layer.
⭐ How will you make an impact?
- Own experience strategy. Translate product bets into a clear experience direction before they become roadmap items or tickets. Define what we're building and what we're saying no to.
- Lead our AI transformation. Reimagine our product as AI-native. Not by adding AI widgets to existing screens, but by rethinking the mental models, workflows, and interaction patterns from the ground up.
- Drive cross-product coherence. Be the connective tissue across domain teams so that the product feels like one experience, not five built in parallel.
- Elevate the design team. Raise the bar by doing this. In crits, co-creation sessions, and how you approach problems.
⭐ What makes you a great fit?
- 10+ years of experience designing complex, workflow-heavy B2B SaaS products at a principal or head of design level.
- You think in systems. You see the business logic and technical decisions behind a broken workflow, and you know how to influence both.
- Obsessed with value creation, not just craft. You want to understand the northstar metric, design the experiment, and watch the number move.
- You challenge with care. You bring data and conviction to hard conversations with PMs and engineers, and you do it in a way that moves things forward, not sideways.
- Genuinely excited about AI as a design material, with a clear-eyed view of where it adds value and where it creates noise.
- You communicate design decisions in business terms. Stakeholders leave your presentations clear on what you're doing and why.

- You're plugged into product and engineering leadership at the strategy level, shaping direction before they're scoped, not reacting to them afterward.
- The most complex, ambiguous initiatives have a clear design direction with your fingerprint on it.
- The product feels coherent end-to-end for the first time, and customers notice.

Lodgify is a constantly growing tech start-up, focused on building vacation rental software that enables vacation rental owners to independently manage and market their business online. We do so by providing them with easy-to-build websites, including a booking and reservation system, various synchronisation options, and payment collection options.
