Overwatch RushJob Title:Principal Producer | Overwatch Rush | 3 month FTCRequisition ID:R028214Job Description:We are looking for a full-time Principal Producer specializing in Release Operations Management to own release execution, production tooling, LiveOps readiness, and operational follow-through across the team. This role keeps release work organized, tracks decisions and dependencies, maintains key production systems, and ensures teams have the visibility and structure needed to ship reliably.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating across production, release, platform, certification, LiveOps, and central teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesRelease Management
- Own or coordinate key development dates for each release.
- Support end-to-end release execution in partnership with Release Train Producers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate Feature Complete, Feature Freeze, Code Freeze, merge cut-offs, PR status, and release readiness activities.
- Challenge teams and stakeholders on bug backlog scope and delivery risks.
- Coordinate submission management, including app privacy, age ratings, platform submission requirements, and intake forms.
- Partner with Certification, Compatibility, and relevant stakeholders to review reported issues, assess risk, and escalate business-critical decisions.
Central Team Coordination
- Coordinate with central platform, security, account, login, and infrastructure teams as needed for release and operational readiness.
- Provide relevant roadmap, date, dependency, and release-readiness context to central teams.
- Review recurring central-team reports for accuracy and follow up on issues.
- Track platform/security review needs and ensure reports or action items are distributed to the right stakeholders.
LiveOps and Incident Management
- Help define and maintain incident management processes.
- Maintain the LiveOps single source of truth and ensure information stays up to date.
- Coordinate updates around on-call processes, team responsibilities, and information gaps.
- Support Slack automations and workflows for incident severity levels.
- Review tools such as xMatters or equivalent systems to ensure correct team assignments and escalation paths.
Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare clear updates for leads, production stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
- Communicate release priorities, risks, dependencies, decisions, and open questions.
- Ensure the right people are aware of release changes, deadlines, ownership shifts, and operational needs.
Required Experience
- Experience in game development, specially in live services
- Experience with LiveOps, incident management, on-call processes, or escalation workflows.
- Experience in release coordination, project management, program management, operations, or production support.
- Experience with release management, certification, compatibility, or app store submission processes.
- Experience tracking risks, dependencies, decisions, and action items across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong Jira and Slack operational knowledge.
- Ability to create clear dashboards, trackers, templates, and process documentation.
- Excellent follow-through and ability to drive action without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable escalating risks and challenging scope when needed.
- Able to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
