In this role as Principal Presales Architect you are responsible for:
- Working with / or without Sales early in the process to
- articulate the overall value of HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise (PCE)
- technically qualify if the opportunity is well suited for a PCE solution.
- Advise Sales on the recommended technical approach and solution.
- Architecture of end-to-end Hybrid Cloud solution with deep technical expertise in all aspects of HPE GreenLake hybrid cloud solutions including PCE.
- Driving architecture of solutions to ensure customers hybrid cloud business and technical requirements are met.
- The end-to-end technical solution & customizations orchestrating other SAs, TAs and including Digital Presales as well as Product Management in a complex Hybrid Cloud deal.
Proposal development:
- Translate customer business and functional objectives to technical solution requirements.
- Shape/customize solution across the entire company portfolio (products, services, solutions) with necessary third-party components and offered as either CAPEX or HPE GreenLake Flex Solutions, SaaS, and IaaS. Close alignment with product management.
- Works with Sales to articulate technical value, present solutions, and overcome customer objections.
- Ensure smooth knowledge transfer and hand-over to the delivery team.
- Sizing, configuration, and pricing of a PCE solution, using sizing best practices and the appropriate HPE tooling (SSET, OCA, etc.)

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Commercial experience with pricing and writing a services statement of work.
- Significant experience in a similar role, where you provided both solution, technical and commercial leadership in the delivery of solutions.
- Strong business acumen and general management guidance abilities
- Ability to build relationships with C-level executives in client organizations
- Experience preparing RFP/Tender response documents like compliance to the RFP, bill of materials, commercial/pricing, and solution documents to drive a successful response.
- Deep technical knowledge on key HPE offerings, especially HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise, applicability & customization options.
- Deep expertise around Hybrid Cloud enabling technologies (virtualization, Automation, Security, Networking, APIs, BM, Containers, multi/hybrid-cloud management platforms & technologies, Infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native application development/deployment processes and best practices) and use cases.
- Knowledge of prevalent Proprietary & OpenSource technologies used in hybrid Cloud.
- Deep expertise around public cloud technologies/offerings.
- Excellent skills in delivering Demos and Proof of Concept on solutions as well as clearly articulating the value proposition aligned to customer use case.
- Proficiency in English language, (Swiss) German and/or French
