WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
This is a rare chance to build something from scratch. SimCorp is launching its first on-the-ground Securities Operations presence in Australia, supporting three clients at three different stages: one going live this quarter and two in active onboarding right now.
As the senior SME, you won’t inherit an established playbook. You’ll write it. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Securities Operations with each client, manage those relationships, and collaborate closely with our operations team in Manila. You’ll also get the kind of visibility that usually takes years to earn.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Own the relationship for three clients at three very different stages as their one trusted face
- Lead the follow up on the go-live this November, and shape how the other clients land through onboarding
- Be the senior escalation point when an operational issue needs more than a first pass, across trade processing, asset servicing, reconciliation and beyond
- Represent Securities Operations at client governance meetings and turn what you hear there into real change back at the source
- Be the trusted link to our operations team in Manila, making sure client priorities actually shape delivery
- Coach and back up the Lead Analyst, building a local team clients can rely on
WHAT WE VALUE
The ideal person is less about fitting a fixed template and more about bringing curiosity, flexibility, and ownership to the work.
- Broad business knowledge across Securities Operations: Trade Processing, Asset Servicing (corporate actions, lifecycle, tax), Reconciliation, Operational Data Management, and Claims management sufficient to represent any of these areas credibly to a client without referring every question back to the delivery hub.
- Client-facing background covering relationship management, meeting facilitation, escalation resolution, and onboarding support, ideally gained at an asset manager, custodian, fund administrator, or global bank.
- Skilled in stakeholder coordination, including working across multiple time zones with delivery teams in Manila, Noida, and Warsaw.
- Clear and effective English communication skills, including the ability to translate technical operational challenges into understandable business implications for clients.
- Experience with SimCorp Dimension, or a comparable investment operations / IBOR platform, is a strong advantage.
- An organized, steady approach that handles ambiguous or escalated matters well and does not require constant oversight.
- Experience managing senior client relationships and speaking on behalf of an operations team in governance or executive settings, along with mentoring or coaching colleagues.
- Familiarity with the APAC investment management / custody landscape, and the ability to support clients across APAC operating hours.
Benefits
Attractive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement. However, in SimCorp, we believe we can offer more. Therefore, in addition to the traditional benefit scheme, we provide a good work and work-life balance: flexible working hours and a hybrid model.
