Job Title – Principal Network Engineer
The Purpose of This Role
As Principal Network Engineer in the Network Security Engineering team you will be responsible for engineering and management of network security infrastructure for Fidelity Investments globally.

You will also need to be able to deploy, administer, and troubleshoot network based services including, firewalls, routers, switches, proxies, remote access technologies and IPS/IDS devices.

Technical / Behavioral
- Expert ability to thoughtfully administer network based security controls through a combination of routing/switching, firewall and proxy capabilities in support of corporate cyber policy
- Strong knowledge and working experience with Juniper SRX, Check Point and Cisco Firepower security appliances
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus, ASR and Catalyst routing and switching platforms
- Strong working knowledge with core network technologies such as: BGP, OSPF, VRF, VPN, VLANS, GRE & IPSEC
- Understanding of both IaaS and SaaS cloud services and their underlying network components such as VPCs, V-Nets, Dx-Gateways and similar concepts
- Able to leverage your knowledge and data available through packet captures, logging and telemetry to analyze and solve complex technical issues
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code to both deploy and administer infrastructure; Experience with both Python and Ansible is a plus as well as familiarity with XML and JSON.
- Experience with ITSM concepts and ability to manage multi-quarter project based work
- Able to effectively convey detailed technical information within documentation, diagrams and schematics
- Effectively influence members of their team and peer groups
- Effective communicator who is able to actively advise business partners
- Dedicated worker able to keep pace in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Familiarity with Network segmentation products
