Accountabilities & Responsibilities
MDM Use Cases Identification and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Lead the conversation with various BU stakeholders to gather, understand, and document complex business requirements related to master data ensuring that they are in alignment with enterprise MDM strategy
• Identify and prioritize high-impact MDM use cases across the organization to improve data quality, streamline processes, and drive business value.
• Engage with business stakeholders, including product managers, operations leaders, and IT teams, to drive conversations around MDM use cases and develop tailored solutions to address business needs.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions with business users to define new MDM use cases, data transformation rules, data quality rules ensuring they align with enterprise goals

Critical Data Elements Identification and Data Domain-based Architecture:

• Lead the identification and classification of critical data elements (CDEs) across various business domains, ensuring that key master data assets are effectively governed and utilized.
• Define and implement data domain-based architectures, aligning each data domain (e.g., customer, product, supplier, etc.) with MDM principles to ensure consistency, accuracy, and effective management across the enterprise.
• Oversee the development of data models for each domain, data flows, and data architecture to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high-quality master data across the organization.

Source Selection, Solution design and Data Integration:

• Experience implementing and managing global MDM solutions across multiple business domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier, finance, HR)
• Oversee the identification and selection of data sources critical to the master data ecosystem, ensuring that data quality, accuracy, and integrity to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams and data architects to assess and integrate data from multiple systems, ensuring seamless data flows and accurate master data records.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for MDM solutions, ensuring the design of scalable, secure, and compliant MDM systems
• Work with complex business problems and build data-driven solutions leveraging MDM capabilities.
• Partner with solution architects to design scalable and efficient MDM solutions.

Stakeholder Sign-Off ,UAT and deployment:

• Represent MDM team across various forums to obtain sign-off from key stakeholders (business, IT, data governance, etc.) at critical stages of the MDM project, ensuring alignment with expectations and objectives.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for MDM solutions, ensuring that business users validate the system's functionality, usability, and alignment with business requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to end-users during UAT, ensuring that all issues are resolved before system deployment.
• Drive the decision-making process for deployment, facilitating go/no-go approvals from relevant stakeholders before releasing the solution to production.

Match Iterations and Data Quality:

• Oversee the iterative match processes within MDM systems to ensure that data is accurately matched, de-duplicated, and linked across systems.
• Lead multiple iterations of data matching to continually improve the quality of the master data and resolve discrepancies between records.
• Ensure proper match rules and data validation processes are in place, including manual validation, as necessary, for maintaining data integrity across the MDM platform.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Monitor the latest changes, improvements and newly introduced functionalities of the implemented MDM SaaS toolset and continuously improve MDM solution and processes.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in data management practices, propose enhancements, and deliver continuous improvements
• Follow the industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to MDM.

Data Governance and Quality:

• Champion data governance best practices across the organization to ensure high-quality, accurate, and consistent master data.
• Define and enforce data stewardship processes, data quality standards, and data policies.
• Perform data profiling, data quality assessments, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Agile Methodology and Project Execution:

• Lead and manage MDM projects within Agile frameworks, ensuring iterative delivery, flexibility, and alignment with evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, scrum masters, and technical teams, to deliver MDM capabilities in an Agile manner.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and collaboration, ensuring clear communication of MDM benefits, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and business units.
• Manage risks, scope changes, and blockers to ensure that MDM projects are completed on time and meet business expectations.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in Master Data Management (MDM).
• Experience implementing and managing global MDM solutions across multiple business domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier, finance, HR)
• Advanced knowledge of MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, or similar platforms) and experience with data integration and data migration.
• Expertise in data modeling, data analysis, and defining data architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and databases (e.g., SQL, cloud-native databases), with experience in integrating these technologies within MDM solutions.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments, using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), to deliver MDM solutions iteratively and collaboratively.
• Very good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of business processes and operations, with the ability to align MDM initiatives to business goals across multiple functional areas (e.g., finance, sales, supply chain).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in data integration tools (e.g., Databricks,IDMC Suite, MuleSoft, Apache Kafka) for creating scalable, real-time, or near real-time integrations between MDM systems and other enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with cloud-native integration patterns, serverless architectures, and real-time data processing in cloud environments is a significant advantage.
• Experience in building or optimizing data lakes or data warehouses that integrate MDM data to support advanced analytics.
• Relevant certifications in data management, data governance, or project management are advantageous
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) to create data visualizations that provide actionable insights for business stakeholders, helping to drive decision-making based on the accuracy and consistency of master data.
