A Day in the LifeMedtronic Diabetes insulin delivery and glucose sensing products have traditionally been used by people with Type 1 diabetes across most countries in Europe. However, interest is growing in using these products for certain individuals with Type 2 diabetes who are on multiple injection therapy.
As Principal Marketing Specialist EMEA, you will be the first full-time team member in the EMEA Therapy Innovation Marketing organization dedicated to the T2 diabetes franchise. You will play a key role in advancing from completed research to developing and implementing market expansion strategies in selected countries, supporting the long-term growth of this patient segment.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead and coordinate product planning, market development, product launches, and market research activities for the T2 segment
  • Represent T2 market needs within the Global Marketing organization, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
  • Collaborate with regional and country marketing teams to identify top priority opportunities for market development
  • Drive the expansion of existing T1 diabetes therapies into new T2 patient populations by partnering with country teams to develop concrete market initiatives
  • Additional responsibilities may include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, future e-commerce strategies, and tracking marketing campaigns to assess effectiveness and guide future promotional efforts.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Prior experience in Pharma or Med-Tech, particularly within the T2 diabetes market, such as glucose sensing or insulin therapies
  • Experience working at both local and regional/global levels is desirable
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading multifunctional teams
  • Ability to think strategically, execute plans effectively, and influence stakeholders
  • Fluent in English.

A MBA or specialized master’s degree in a relevant field (marketing, market access, healthcare) is preferred as well as an additional language.
