Position Description:
Responsible for serving as the business, clinical, and technical expert for Medtronic Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) enabling technology portfolio. Create key messages, value proposition and provide product demonstrations. Formulate short- and long-term strategy for commercialization and market development of Enabling Technology products. Conduct competitive analysis and customer segmentation exercises to execute on product positioning. Execute on commercial and development activity for software, capital equipment and imaging systems. Responsible for Sales, Downstream Marketing within the spine and cranial market. Work with external vendors and partners on large cross functional marketing and/or development projects. Provide clinical support and drive engagement and product awareness with surgeons. Responsible for designing and implementing product marketing plans (business plans, product pricing, sales & revenue forecasts and inventory) for U.S. and/or global regions. Conduct primary market research. Provide sales training. Provide strategic planning including scenarios planning tactics to support continuous market growth. Create campaigning materials and product advertisements to implement marketing strategies. Gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) input for product development and/or product utilization purposes. *Position requires on site at Lafayette, CO at least 4 days a week. 25%-50% domestic and international travel to attend customer events, trade shows, and meet with strategic partners.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master’s degree in Business, Management, Biomedical Engineering or related business or engineering field and two (2) years of experience as a product specialist/manager or sales rep/manager for Spinal Medical Device products. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Sales, Downstream Marketing within the spine market; working with external vendors and partners on large cross functional marketing and/or development projects; providing clinical support and driving engagement and product awareness with surgeons in the spine market; designing and implementing product marketing plans, including business plans, product pricing, sales & revenue forecasts, and inventory for U.S. and/or global regions; conducting primary market research; sales training; scenarios planning tactics; creating campaigning materials and product advertisements to implement marketing/sales strategies; and gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) input for product development and/or utilization purposes. *Position requires on site at Lafayette, CO at least 4 days a week.
Salary: $174,300 to $200,400 per year
