In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Architect, design, and lead the development of a scalable and robust software platform for instrument manufacturing. This includes software for production line testing, component calibration, firmware flashing, and support SQA to do manufacturing software verification.
- Develop sophisticated software applications (primarily in C#/C++) that interface directly with our diagnostic instruments and test fixtures to automate complex test sequences and calibration procedures.
- Design and implement the systems for collecting, storing, and retrieving all manufacturing data for each instrument's electronic Device History Record (eDHR). Ensure all data is secure and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Work intimately with R&D hardware and firmware engineers to understand instrument test requirements, with Manufacturing Engineers to optimize production workflows, and with Quality Assurance to ensure software validation.
- Utilize past manufacturing data to develop AI tools to predict the modules/instruments failure and optimize the calibration process
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Minimum 12 years of software development experience with a Bachelor’s or 8+ years of experience with Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Expert-level proficiency in an object-oriented language such as C#/C++, Java, Python.Deep knowledge of WPF, strong development experience in TCP/IP, CAN, UDP and other network interfaces.
- Proven experience designing software that interfaces with and controls physical hardware and test equipment.
- Strong experience with database design (SQL) and data management for production environments and strong experience in Cloud program development, AWS Lambda APIs.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as diagnostic/ medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Direct experience developing software under a diagnostic/ medical device quality management system (ISO 13485)
- Familiarity with the requirements for software validation in an FDA-regulated environment
