A Day in the LifeMedtronic is seeking a Principal IT Architect – Hyperautomation to provide enterprise architecture leadership for AI-driven automation solutions across business and IT functions. This role will define architecture strategy, standards, and governance for scalable, secure, compliant, and reusable solutions leveraging GenAI, AI/ML, Intelligent Automation, RPA, Process Mining, Workflow Automation, Integrations, Data Platforms, and Cloud Technologies.As a senior technical leader, you will partner with business, enterprise architecture, security, data, platform, and delivery teams to translate high-value opportunities into enterprise-ready solutions that improve productivity, optimize processes, and accelerate automation adoption.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Define and govern enterprise Hyperautomation architecture, standards, and reusable patterns.
- Design scalable solutions leveraging AI/ML, GenAI, RPA, Process Mining, workflow automation, integrations, data, and cloud platforms.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to develop solution roadmaps and reference architectures.
- Lead architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and complex design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, regulatory, data governance, and Responsible AI standards.
- Architect integrations across enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and cloud environments.
- Influence platform strategy, vendor roadmaps, and emerging technology adoption.
- Drive solution scalability, resilience, observability, and operational excellence.
- Develop reusable assets, architecture blueprints, and technical standards.
- Mentor architects and engineers while fostering innovation and engineering excellence.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, Advanced degree with 7+ years, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Enterprise, Solution, or Technology Architecture with Hyperautomation expertise.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML, GenAI, RPA, Intelligent Automation, Process Mining, Workflow Automation, No-Code/Low-Code Platforms, APIs, Data Platforms, and Cloud Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and integration technologies.
- Proven experience architecting large-scale enterprise solutions spanning multiple technologies and teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud, integration, data, security, governance, and Responsible AI principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Nice to Haves: - Experience in healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, AI, Data Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in Cloud, AI, Automation, Enterprise Architecture, or Security.
- Experience building enterprise automation frameworks, governance models, reusable accelerators, and operating models.
- Experience leading global teams and driving automation adoption at enterprise scale.
