- Responsible for helping Marketing translate customer and standardization bodies’ requirements into state-of-the-art SoC architectures and detailed target specifications
- Defining innovative and robust architectural plans for the Division’s connectivity SoCs targeting lowest power consumption, smallest system size and lowest cost solutions
- Derive new concepts and IP blocks required for future oriented ICs, including external IP selection and vendor relationships
- Drive the feasibility assessment of new product platforms
- Conduct performance evaluation/simulation of SoC architectures (e.g. bus/ cache performance)
- Generate documentation (e.g. Objective Specifications, Datasheet, Verification Plan, Production Test Plan)
- Scanning of related technologies and market trends; competitive analysis
- BSc or MSc Degree in Electronics
- Detailed technical experience in system definition/concept engineering within the semiconductor industry
- Strong background in digital design · Ideally with a solid, proven track record as system architect
- Strong technical background (BSc. EE, MSc. EE or similar) ideally in embedded System on Chips with microcontroller, DSP, RF and analog mixed signal content
- Solid working experience as a system architect
- Good understanding of IC design and manufacturing process
- System level know-how of low-power wireless systems and protocols, e.g. Bluetooth, WiFi
- Solid understanding of embedded system-on-chip architectures and embedded systems
- Understanding of embedded software and software architectures
- High degree of autonomy and strong teamwork abilities
- Able to analyze sometimes fuzzy client propositions/wishes of high complexity using best practices, based on internal technical knowhow and knowledge of customer’s systems
