The Lead HRIS Reporting & Analytics Specialist interprets business requirements and delivers reporting, analytics, and automation solutions that support Human Resources operations and strategic initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Manager HRIS, the role serves as the technical lead within the HRIS Reporting & Analytics team, providing guidance, mentoring, and development support to team members while remaining actively involved in solution design and delivery.

The position is responsible for developing and supporting enterprise reporting and digital solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. The successful candidate will contribute to the adoption of modern analytics and automation technologies while promoting development standards, solution quality, and continuous improvement across the team.

This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, problem-solving capability, solution design, and coaching skills to help elevate the overall capability of the HRIS Reporting & Analytics team.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership

    • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to HRIS developers and analysts

    • Support team members in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, data modeling, and reporting best practices

    • Review solution designs, development deliverables, and technical documentation

    • Promote coding standards, development governance, and quality assurance practices

    • Assist in prioritizing technical work and resolving complex development challenges

    • Support knowledge sharing and continuous technical development within the team

  • Reporting & Analytics

    • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise HR dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytics solutions

    • Develop Power BI semantic models, DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and advanced visualizations

    • Support reporting security, performance optimization, and data governance initiatives

    • Gather, structure, and analyze data from multiple HR and business systems

    • Translate business requirements into meaningful analytical insights and reporting solutions

    • Support self-service reporting and analytics initiatives

  • Automation & Digital Solutions

    • Lead the development and support of solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate

    • Identify opportunities to automate manual HR processes and improve operational efficiency

    • Develop reusable automation frameworks and best practices

    • Support integrations between HR systems and Microsoft technologies

    • Troubleshoot and resolve application, workflow, and automation issues

  • Platform & Data Solutions

    • Support the implementation and enhancement of modern data and analytics platforms

    • Contribute to Microsoft Fabric initiatives including Dataflows, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, and Semantic Models

    • Participate in data architecture, modeling, and solution design discussions

    • Assist with data quality, security, and governance initiatives

    • Support cloud-based reporting and analytics technologies

  • Business Partnership & Project Support

    • Collaborate with HR stakeholders and project teams to understand business requirements

    • Translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions

    • Provide recommendations for reporting, analytics, and automation improvements

    • Support project delivery, testing, deployment, and production support activities

    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and technology evaluations

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS, Business Intelligence, Reporting, Analytics, Application Development, or related disciplines
  • Strong experience developing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience working with enterprise data environments and large datasets
  • Experience mentoring team members, providing technical guidance, or leading projects
  • Experience supporting Human Resources systems, processes, or reporting functions is preferred.
