The RoleThe Principal Graphic Designer/Production Expert is responsible for designing and producing many of the projects that come into AspenTech’s Marcom team, covering a wide range of activities, including videos, global and regional events, integrated marketing campaigns, executive presentations, collateral and the website. In this role, the ideal candidate will have a hands-on role in the execution of key deliverables—ensuring that projects meet client objectives, support the company’s strategic goals and adhere to the AspenTech brand. The ideal candidate should possess strong creative, design and production skills to take projects from beginning to end, working closely with other designers, web developers, content providers and outside vendors to deliver a final product that is of highest quality, as well as on time and on budget.
Your Impact
- Collaborates closely with internal clients to deliver strategic concepts, providing creative solutions as well as production logistics, resulting in final deliverables that are on time and meet the high standards of quality of the AspenTech brand.
- Brings a strong sense of effective visual communications and branding to every project with the practical expertise to help complete jobs that engage our customers (including web, social, video, email, event graphics, print deliverables, etc.)
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously while still meeting strict deadlines and requirements; requires minimal supervision to complete a project from beginning to end.
- Collaborates closely with the Senior Manager of Graphic Design and Director of Marketing Communications to identify and suggest areas for team improvement including industry best practices and processes.
- Takes a leadership role on the team, sharing expertise and experiences with other designers in the spirit of improving overall quality and efficiency
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in visual design, marketing or communications, or a related field
- 8-12 years of marketing communications and/or graphic design experience, developing a range of marketing materials——with a hands-on role in the design and production of materials
- Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD)
- Demonstrated experience with video and animation tools including After Effects and Premiere Pro (Ceros and Camtasia helpful)
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint with strong storytelling, slide design and production skills
- Demonstrated experience with Visio also a plus
- Demonstrated process and project management skills
- Solid expertise in prioritizing, multi-tasking, and performing assignments with minimal supervision
- Experience working with outside agency to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Experience working in the high-tech industry preferred
