Principal Full Stack Engineer

Position Description:

Designs, develops, and maintains complex enterprise software solutions using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Java technologies. Produces accurate and maintainable code for test automation and software utilities using programming languages including Java and Apex. Designs application-level architecture and applies test driven design (TDD) concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities. Implements process improvements within Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environments (Agile and Scrum). Researches and analyzes new business requirements with Cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Defines and implements application-level architecture.

• Conduct comprehensive unit integration, system, and user acceptance testing to ensure software quality and compliance.

• Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.

• Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

• Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

• Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and security protocols throughout software development and maintenance.

• Advises senior management on technical strategy.

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing software applications in a Cloud environment by implementing Salesforce.com CRM solutions. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing software applications in a cloud environment by implementing Salesforce.com CRM solutions.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing, developing, and architecting  scalable and resilient J2EE and Salesforce applications according to Agile methodologies; designing Web applications using Object-Oriented (OO) principles and design patterns -- Singleton, Model-View-Controller (MVC), and Data Access Object (DAO); maintaining and storing distribution transactions using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch; and developing software products using Spring Tool Suite, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, and salesforce.com platforms.  

• DE implementing robust real time integrations using Salesforce APIs (SOAP and REST) and integration tools (Salesforce Connect and Informatica Cloud); designing and implementing complex integrations with external systems, using Mulesoft, Heroku, and Amazon Web Services (AWS); developing RESTful Web services using out-of-box REST configurations, scripted rest messages, and integration hub; and performing user authentication Single Sign-On (SSO) and OAUTH2 with identity providers, including Azure AD and Ping Identity. 

• DE creating test automation by developing distributed applications using middleware technologies -- REST, Web Services, Java, and Spring; scheduling Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) batch processes on a daily and weekly  basis, using Control-M and shell scripting; transferring data between databases and  implementing real time integrations between systems,  using event streaming frameworks -- Kafka; and enabling seamless data flow across SaaS and legacy systems, using ETL batch processes and middleware technologies -- REST, Web Services, Java, and Spring. 

• DE implementing Apex triggers, workflow rules, process builder flows, approval processes, and complex data models to meet business requirements according to the Salesforce architecture and data model standards, using Salesforce Setup, Salesforce Schema Builder, Salesforce Flow Builder, and Salesforce Object Manager; enhancing system functionalities by developing Apex classes and Lightning Web Components, using Apex, JavaScript, HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS); and automating Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket, and udeploy.
