We are looking for team members who can critically analyze a problem, collaborate with software and security teams to find a solution, and own the delivery of that solution.
The Principal Full Stack Cybersecurity Engineer will work with software engineers and teams to design, implement, and deploy complete systems, ensuring they meet cybersecurity requirements and best practices. The engineer will bring a security first focus to the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of full stack software products that typically include front end web frameworks, back-end services, micro services, databases, and all associated cloud infrastructure required to deploy and maintain the solution.
This engineer will help ensure that our software, systems and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. By serving as a point of contact to Cybersecurity teams, performing technical security assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing, they will highlight risk and remediate associated findings while helping T-Mobile teams and partners improve security.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design new infrastructure and monitor existing systems to ensure security compliance. · Work with engineers to develop full-stack SW solutions with a focus on security.
  • Advise engineering teams on security, compliance, and risk assessments.
  • Interface with groups including Cybersecurity, application support, engineering ops, privacy.
  • Perform security analysis of existing and new technologies and form recommendations on their use.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance existing systems and processes.
  • Lead the identification of security needs & recommends plans/resolutions.
  • Implement, test, and monitor information security improvements.
  • Leads information security reviews of Engineering projects and proposals.
  • Executes security projects driven by groups both internal and external to Engineering teams.
  • Mentor peers and junior team members on security technologies, solution design, and customer interaction.
  • Write well-designed, well-tested code.
  • Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Engineering (Required)

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in full stack development experience including front end and back end (Required)
  • 7-10 years designing database schemas, writing SQL (Required)
  • 3+ years DevOps experience with infrastructure as code (Required)
  • 4-7 years using cloud services from AWS, Azure or GCP (Required)
  • 7-10 years technical engineering experience (Required)
  • 1+ years coaching and mentoring team members (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expected to be able to setup a completely new full stack environment from scratch including build steps and backend infrastructure (Required)
  • Deep knowledge of at least one structured and one scripting language
  • Understands web protocols, how full stack applications operate and data flows (Required)
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure parameters, configurations, security, and how to alter them for desired results (Required)
  • Good understanding of adjacent processes and workflows (Required)

Base Pay Range: $129,400 - $233,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
