- Ensure accurate, complete financial records in compliance with legal requirements, local accounting standards, and U.S. GAAP.
- Lead and maintain a strong internal controls environment, supporting Nordson’s SOX compliance efforts and serving as a key liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Oversee core financial processes including planning and forecasting, asset management, manufacturing costing, and ad hoc analysis.
- Administer, develop, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and reporting systems to support growth, efficiency, and speed.
- Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting in alignment with corporate and divisional requirements.
- Monitor legal, tax, and regulatory developments and implement actions to ensure ongoing compliance while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Partner with business leadership to establish and manage financial goals related to sales, profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
- Interpret operating results, explain variances, and provide actionable recommendations to improve cost structure and profitability.
- Lead financial planning activities including forecasts, operating plans, strategic plans, and scenario analyses to improve forecast accuracy and decision quality.
- Provide objective, enterprise‑minded financial insight to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Prepare and present financial analyses, performance metrics, and trend reporting for management reviews.
- Actively monitor gross margin performance across the business portfolio.
- Support capital investment analysis, product line P&Ls, market and competitive analysis, and sales trend evaluation.
- Collaborate with corporate functions including Treasury, Tax, and Financial Reporting on global and regional initiatives.
- Provide financial due diligence and integration support for M&A activities as needed.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and excellence within the finance organization.
- Develop and motivate finance team members to deliver high‑quality results and achieve strong engagement.
- Identify best practices and continuous improvement opportunities and support their adoption across the organization.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
- CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
- Strong financial analysis, problem‑solving, and business judgment skills.
- Ability to balance financial rigor with operational realities in a matrixed environment.
- High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, particularly during close and planning cycles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SOX compliance preferred.
- Adaptable, change‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
