Role
We are looking for a Principal FE Engineer with Extensive Java BE Experience to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering in the Zero Trust Exchange department. We are looking for an expert Frontend Engineer to join our SSPM Engineering team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Engineering, you will lead efforts across the entire backend business logic (Java) and front end for the Zscaler SSPM product.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Developing user interfaces using ReactJS and integrating with HTTPS APIs provided by the backend engineers co-located in the Tel-Aviv office
- Participating in design from scratch to production to design and understand the end-to-end flow, including backend and front end
- Renovating the existing UI look and feel to standardize with the new Zscaler UX
- Developing new React Components to enrich the UI components
- Investing 10% of your time (half day per week) to stay up to date with the latest front-end technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for continuous improvement

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
- 10+ years of experience developing products that are used by very large customers such as Fortune 500 companies
- 5+ years of proven experience in front-end development using React, Redux, JavaScript, and TypeScript, combined with an additional 5+ years of experience working on backend services in Java
- Experience working in a SaaS environment and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Capability to design and develop reusable code for UI components, supported by a strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and state management
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proactively leverage AI technologies, such as LLMs and intelligent coding assistants, to accelerate frontend design prototyping, automate testing, and streamline Java backend integration
- Degree from a well-known university or experience serving in an IDF technology unit
- Experience in the Cybersecurity field combined with familiarity with Playwright automation
