We are seeking a Principal Experience Design Engineer, AI Frameworks, to join the Applied Intelligence design team in the Experience Foundations organization of the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) Division.  We are bringing the power of AI agents to our customers design problems while simultaneously rapidly evolving the way we design and develop ourselves.

  • Develop adaptive, context-aware UI components that scale across agentic workflows

  • Architect and maintain a modular framework that supports personalized and agent-assisted user experiences

  • Act as a liaison between the design team and our stakeholders, including engineering, product managers, architects, and other cross-functional partners

  • Establish scalable processes that speed delivery from prototype to deployable solutions

  • Coach designers and troubleshoot their challenges as they become more proficient with AI-augmented development

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development

  • Experience creating and maintaining reusable UI components and component libraries

  • AI Tooling Fluency: Demonstrated "must-have" experience using Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist, or equivalent LLM-based coding agents to deliver complex features

  • Expert React & TypeScript: Deep proficiency in React Hooks, state management (Zustand, Redux, or Context), and component-driven design

  • Experience leading the architecture and development of large-scale web applications, including performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design, and modern UI engineering practices

  • Proficiency in Software Development practices, including version control, testing, and debugging

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining component libraries

  • Experience designing agentic or AI-assisted interaction components

  • Experience shaping design systems that support complex workflows

  • Experience mentoring designers and elevating technical capabilities within a team

  • Experience establishing cross organizational methods and practices
