Summary:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Enterprise Solutions Architect to join our team at Vizient. In this role, you will play a key role in driving the architecture and development of large-scale digital platforms, specifically designed to meet our membership's growing data and analytics needs. As an expert in your field, you will champion platform thinking, design thinking, and innovative practices to effectively address the evolving requirements of our members and customers. Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture and design of scalable, distributed technology platform solutions, aligning with the company's vision for growth and innovation

Apply advanced design thinking methodologies to create user-centric, efficient, and adaptable solutions across diverse technology stacks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure platform architectures align with long-term business strategies and drive enterprise-wide innovation.

Provide enterprise-wide architectural leadership, guiding cross-functional teams across various technology domains, including data, application, cloud, and emerging technologies.

Evangelize the adoption of key platforms and emerging technologies across business units through presentations, roadshows, and developer engagement initiatives.

Solve complex, high-impact business problems by leveraging your deep expertise in technology trends and enterprise architecture.

Drive the enterprise-wide adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML, Generative AI, and Large Language Models, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

Create visualizations and technical documentation to communicate complex architectural concepts to business stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications:
-
Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field desired. Master's degree preferred.

10 or more years of experience is required, with strong expertise in architecture and a well-rounded understanding of technology domains, including software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, DevOps, security, networking, etc.

Extensive experience as an Enterprise Architect, Senior Solutions Architect, or a similar role in a technology firm, focusing on architecting and building large distributed data and analytics platforms.

Proven track record of successfully designing and architecting scalable, reliable, and high-performance data and analytics systems. Experience in implementing best practices and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.

Possess deep knowledge and working experience across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to development to deployment. Possess experience with front-end technologies, back-end frameworks, and databases.

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience working with Azure data and application technologies. Databricks data platform is required. Will consider candidates with deep experience on other cloud and data platforms as a substitute.

Strong background in designing and implementing scalable solutions that leverage Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Possesses experience and knowledge of designing and building systems using RAG, Embedding, agents, etc.

Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar), with a focus on Data, Application, Technology, and Business architecture. Certification is highly desirable.

Preferred candidates will have experience and understanding of healthcare data.

Strong diagramming and visualization skills to illustrate and communicate complex concepts to different audiences.

Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $273,700.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
