Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to help drive application simplification, including helping create frameworks to make the data center migration more efficient, define tools and processes to identify and prevent problems before they happen. Leveraging your skills in design and coding, you'll work with application teams to provide analysis and recommendations both proactively and reactively when incidents occur.
You will lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking. You will strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years in technology operations, including networking and/or systems administration
- 5+ years in Kubernetes fundamentals and advanced concepts (Preferred Red Hat/Open Shift experience)
- 3+ years in Java, C#, Python or any programming language
- 1+ years in AI and automation engineering, such as CI/CD, data ingestion pipelines, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience working as a lead engineer at an enterprise scale
- Experience defining service level objectives (SLOs) and indicators (SLIs)
- Experience writing root cause analyses and corrective recommendations
- Proficiency with private, public, and hybrid cloud, especially as demonstrated by certifications
- Expertise in designing, monitoring, and troubleshooting distributed systems
- Working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server and related enterprise technologies
- 2+ years with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Terraform
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
