Key responsibilities
- Lead the architectural vision and software design for Ozone's product suite, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.
- Develop and implement best practices in system architecture, design patterns, and microservices, influencing the technical direction of our products.
- Drive the adoption of Kubernetes and cloud solutions, optimising scalability, and reliability across our platform.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to align technology initiatives with company strategy and customer needs.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software engineering, applying this knowledge to keep Ozone at the forefront of the industry.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in software development, with a comprehensive understanding of system design, software architecture, and design patterns.
- Proficiency in a NodeJs, Typescript and containerisation.
- Expertise in microservices architecture and Kubernetes, with a strong background in implementing cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex technical projects and making high-impact architectural decisions.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving technical excellence.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, capable of addressing both technical and business challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to articulate technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Experience with MongoDB will be an added advantage
- Experience of using gitops tools like rancher, argocd, spacelift for infrastructure management is a huge plus
- Experience of working in a product-based organised and awareness of product management would be a big plus
