Job Duties and Responsibilities
Principal Engineer-Software sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, CO.
Perform requirements analysis around Video/OTT, API based applications to design and develop Load or Test automation Strategies, identify tools that can automate Functional, Regression and Performance test/analysis activities and support our critical business initiatives. Design and develop robust automation frameworks around STB, Roku, Fire TV, Web, Android, iOS mobile based clients or API based back-end services from scratch or modify existing. Identify critical Server-side performance issues under load using sophisticated server monitoring techniques across tools like New relic, Dynatrace or Splunk. Identify opportunities around Performance Engineering, UI/API Automation and AI implementations across Streaming/OTT, back end or STB applications. Build and review pipeline code, update pipelines for Automation or Load testing CI/CD activities across multiple environments. Involvement in environment management activities such as review and approve Change requests, monitor environment health checks, root cause analysis, channel setup and management for multiple STB and OTT based applications. Lead multiple team members around Test Automation, tools development, and performance engineering activities towards setting performance goals, resolving day to day technical challenges, code reviews, process reviews and providing regular feedback.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or as a Test Engineer, Solutions Architect, Test Analyst, and/or Senior Associate-Projects, or similar role. Prior experience must include three (3) years in/with the following (may have been gained concurrently):
- Programming and scripting experience in Javascript, Typescript, Java, Python scripting.
- Automation frameworks: WebdriverIO, Selenium, and Appium.
- Load test scripting and execution using Jmeter, Load Runner.
- Defect management / tracking through Jira.
- Developing test scenarios and automation scripts for different test phases of client-server applications on Backend Services -API Automation and Load/Performance test.
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $172,405.39/Year - $172,405.39/Year
