Job Description: The Role and Impact As a Principal Engineer, Product Development Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating, developing, and optimizing Intel's integrated circuit designs for manufacturability and high-volume production. You will contribute by designing and debugging advanced test flows, hardware solutions, and methodologies to ensure product quality and performance. Your expertise will directly shape Intel's ability to deliver industry-leading products, driving innovation and efficiency in manufacturing processes. Business group This role is part of Intel's broader Product Development Engineering team, which focuses on ensuring Intel products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and scalability from design to production. The group plays a critical role in supporting Intel's overarching goal of delivering cutting-edge technologies to market, advancing manufacturing capabilities, and enabling industry leadership. Key Responsibilities - Lead and develop advanced testability and manufacturability methodologies for integrated circuits across the product lifecycle. - Evaluate new product designs using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug functionality and performance issues. - Drive design-for-test/debug/manufacturing (DFT/DFD/DFM) improvements in collaboration with designers for efficient production testing. - Develop and debug complex software programs for test equipment and validation vectors. - Create and validate hardware solutions for component testing and production. - Analyze component specifications versus performance to ensure manufacturability across process and design corners. - Perform yield analysis and test time reduction to optimize production costs without compromising quality. - Collaborate with fab, assembly, and manufacturing teams to ensure readiness for high-volume manufacturing ramp and product qualification. - Drive technical strategies to resolve manufacturing and yield issues prior to production ramp-up. - Mentor and develop technical leaders within the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field and 12+ years of experience OR Master's degree and 8+ years of experience OR PhD and 6+ years of experience in product development engineering, integrated circuit design, or manufacturing environments. - Expertise in testability and manufacturability methodologies for integrated circuits, including DFT, DFD, and DFM principles. - Proficiency in developing complex software programs for test equipment and validation processes. - Demonstrated experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and comprehensive data analysis for yield optimization. - Strong technical background in postsilicon debug and manufacturing readiness processes. Preferred Qualifications - Proven ability to drive technical strategies and align organizational goals with product development milestones. - Experience mentoring and developing technical leaders, fostering growth within teams. - Strong communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration across fab, assembly, and manufacturing groups. - Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in integrated circuit design and manufacturing.
