Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer located on-site in Rolling Meadows, IL.
This position will support product build in a dynamic, fast-paced and technically challenging environment in support of Radio Frequency systems, requiring collaboration across functional groups.

This position will include providing process support for the manufacture of the Shop Replaceable Units from received Circuit Cards, as well as supporting assembly into a payload (Line Replaceable Unit). This position will support aerial, military-grade, or space-grade Electronic Warfare Systems and Subsystems.
What you will get to do:
Support to Production: Coordinate with Design Engineering, Production technician, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Quality organizations to meet manufacturing contractual commitment. Investigate, design, and provide solutions to support nonconformance repair procedures.
Process Development/Maintenance: Generate and maintain/revise Manufacturing Engineering Process Specifications, Work Instructions, Routers, Tooling/Fixturing and Equipment.
Continuous improvement: Review of quality metrics to identify and leading efforts needed to implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, cycle time, defects.
Producibility reviews: Collaborate with design engineering to achieve producibility in new and updated product design.
Project management: Leading and reporting day-to-day process engineering efforts, providing executive level presentation on current state of a project or on a plan to resolve a production level issue, performing earned value on non-recurring activities.
Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors.
Basic Qualifications for the Manufacturing Process Engineer (RF Systems):
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; OR a Master of Science (MS) degree in equivalent fields and minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience interpreting drawings and specifications.
Experience in creating process work instructions, developing/improving manufacturing processes, and/or working in a design or systems environment.
Experience in managing small to medium scale projects or leading continuous improvement projects.
Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams (such as OPM, design engineering, etc.)
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
United States citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications for the Manufacturing Process Engineer (RF Systems):
Experience performing earned value/CAM efforts
Experience with leading executive presentations.
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action methods.
Experience troubleshooting Circuit Card Assemblies.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
