Introduction

We is seeking a highly motivated Principal Process Engineer to become a part of our Fab7 wafer fabrication facility in Woodlands, Singapore.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The individual will be responsible for process sustenance and development that includes process variability reduction, recipe development, defectivity reduction and process optimization for high volume manufacturing (HVM).

  • Collaborate with GlobalFoundries internal customers and participate in development/manufacturing of unit process for various technologies including

  • Sustain production line, daily SPC monitoring, Cpk improvement, and troubleshooting support for process and tool issues.

  • Improve process robustness for high volume manufacturing using statistical tools, DOE techniques, data-driven decision making, and systematic problem-solving skills. Use lean manufacturing and six sigma processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in support of throughput improvement, cost reduction, and yield learning.

  • Train shift technicians for executing the business processes in a 24x7 HVM production environment.

  • Interact and collaborate closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders and teams such as equipment suppliers, equipment engineers and technicians, CFM (contamination free manufacturing) team, PI (process integration) team, cost management and quality assurance teams.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Required qualifications

  • Min Degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • 6 years of relevant experience semiconductor process and manufacturing operations.

  • Proven experience in program management within complex manufacturing or operations environments.

  • Strong crossfunctional leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience operating in a global, multisite organization.

  • Ability to drive structured governance, execution discipline, and executivelevel communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education - MS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Chemical or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.

  • Experienced process engineer

  • Experience and understanding of high-volume manufacturing.

  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical presentation skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong planning & organizational skills.

  • Strong organizational skills demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adjust to shifting priorities and meet business needs and commitments on time.
