Position Overview: As a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer/Architect at Zenoti, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our vertical SaaS enterprise solutions. Reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the architectural vision and strategy for our platforms and data solutions. Your work will span across FinTech/Payments, data engineering, and a wide range of platform services including Front Desk Operations, Employee Management, Payroll, Inventory, and more.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the creation of architectural roadmaps, be part of DevSecOps transformation, help make critical decisions with short/mid-term solutions and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization. You will be at the forefront of innovation, influencing the technological direction of Zenoti's platform and ensuring our solutions are scalable, secure, and ready for the next generation of enterprise needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Leadership: Develop and drive the architectural roadmap for Zenoti's enterprise SaaS platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.
- Platform Strategy: Lead the design and evolution of key platform services including FinTech/Payments, data engineering, analytics, and core platform functionalities.
- Strong in-depth hands-on experience in helping decisions with short-term vs mid-term solutions that are in sync with long-term roadmap/vision - lessons learned thru personal experiences.
- DevSecOps Transformation: Able to Champion/Contribute and guide the adoption of DevSecOps best practices across the engineering organization, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable software delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the SVP of Engineering for Spas/MedSpas, VP for Fitness, and SRE/Infra SVP to manage dependencies, integrate shared services, and ensure cohesive platform development.
- Short-to-Midterm Solutions: Provide architectural solutions for immediate and upcoming business needs, ensuring quick wins while keeping long-term strategy in focus. Hands on experience in building these solutions on own.
- Technical Mentorship: Mentor and guide engineering teams/Aspiring-SrEngineers, for areas of ownership - fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- ARB & Governance: Help establish and lead an Architectural Review Board (ARB) to standardize architectural practices and ensure consistency across all projects.
- Innovation & R&D: Stay at the forefront of technological trends, evaluating and integrating new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that can enhance Zenoti’s platform capabilities.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on building scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS platforms.
- Proven expertise in Platforms (SaaS/Enterprise), FinTech/Payments solutions, Data engineering, and platform services.
- Deep understanding of DevSecOps practices and experience leading DevSecOps transformations in large engineering organizations.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience working across multiple engineering teams and business units.
- Ability to create and communicate architectural roadmaps and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and API design.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly adapt and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
