Hardware Validation Engineer
NXP is seeking our next HW Validation Lead for silicon validation who will drive both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation of Automotive MCU products. You will be responsible for leading the functional validation and ensuring functionality, performance, stress and stability through comprehensive validation processes.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Providing Leadership to SOC validation and driving the validation team for successful product validation and debug of issues found by validation or reported from other teams / customer
- Validation planning – Drive Develop and implement detailed validation test-plan and develop validation methodologies/infrastructure to achieve the coverage
- Test development – Develop test-cases, test environment and automation scripts using Python. Use various HW and SW tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, traffic generators and analyzers.
- Collaboration – Represent validation function in global forums and core team. Work closely with design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause and resolve any issues that may arise during validation. In addition, work with Operations to do bench screening, high volume ATE functional screening.
- Documentation and reporting – Document test-plans, test results, validation coverage reports. Communicate the same to stakeholders through regular reports
- Automation – Develop various scripts, web-based tools to automate validation tests as well as collecting reports and diagnostics data
Minimum Required Qualifications
- B.Tech./M.Tech. Electronics/Computer Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in silicon validation and performed leadership roles in SOCs, mixed signal/digital ICs.
- Hands on experience with debug of interfaces like communication peripherals, memory interfaces and system level validation testing.
- Expertise with pre-silicon platform, C, script-based test automation (Python) and strong scripting skills in general.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in physical design of complex SoCs or ASICs in advanced technology nodes.
- Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard physical design tools.
- Strong expertise in static timing analysis and timing closure techniques.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and flow development.
