Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural design of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology systems, integrating best practices for resilience, performance, and cost management.

  • Project Development & Delivery: Oversee project delivery, managing timelines, resources, and budgets while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Foster effective collaboration among teams, vendors, partners, and stakeholders through clear communication of project plans, progress updates, and key decisions.

  • Innovation & Research: Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on business operations. Drive innovation by piloting new ideas, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage.

  • Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to information security, data privacy, and intellectual property protection. Proactively manage risks associated with technology implementation and operation.

  • Cost Optimization: Implement efficient resource allocation strategies to optimize costs for IT solutions

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to evaluate IT performance against strategic objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize service interruptions and ensure seamless operations during unexpected events or crises.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 7 years of software engineering experience, ideally within the aviation or travel industry.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps practices, and agile development methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide IT professionals towards achieving common goals.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, while also being a team player who actively contributes to group efforts.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness when handling sensitive information.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of OutSystems is a plus

Skills Required
