As a Principal Engineer, you will be an integral part of our HIG HBM Team in Hyderabad, India, responsible for designing and developing complex Application-Specific Integrated Circuits to meet our product's specifications and requirements for High Bandwidth Memories, working for intensive applications such as artificial intelligence and high performance computing solution. Your expertise will contribute to the successful realization of pioneering semiconductor products, enabling our company to maintain its competitive edge in the industry.
Role and Responsibilities
- Must have a solid understanding of die design. This includes knowledge of various die components, their functions, and how they interact within the overall tool.
- Familiarity with the principles of die design is essential to create effective and efficient layouts.
- Industry Involvement: You actively participate in standards committees, representing Micron and staying informed about industry developments.
- Leading Project Layout Team: You lead the establishment and growth of a layout team to meet Micron's global HBM layout requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Your understanding of high-speed interface principles, mixed-signal design, and off-chip signaling is crucial.
- Attention to Detail: You approach IC layout design with passion, ensuring architecture analysis and optimization for performance, power, and area.
- Collaboration and Communication: Effective teamwork and multitasking are essential in the fast-paced environment.
- Documentation and Specifications: You generate and communicate specifications within the design team and to external customers.
- Independence and Analytical Skills: Your creative thinking and self-motivation contribute to successful layout projects.
- Customer Support: You assist customers in implementing Micron's products.
- Analog and Custom Layout Development: Your leadership ensures timely development of analog and custom layouts.
- Project Management: You organize tasks, allocate resources, and manage logistics for multiple projects.
- Team Leadership: Managing team performance, development, hiring, and retention is part of your role.
- As a critical member of the HBM leadership team in India, contribute to the overall success of the Micron India operation.
Qualification/Requirements
- 15 + year experience in analog/custom layout in advanced CMOS process.
- Minimum 4+ years developing teams and project experience.
- Should have experience in leading multiple project and Tape-out.
- Expertise in Cadence VLE/VXL and Calibre DRC/LVS is a must.
- Must have strong skills in layout and floor planning skills and manual routing.
- Strong ability to build, and continuously develop a premier analog/mixed-signal layout team
- Experienced in running multiple Custom IC layout projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Capable of working in a multi-functional, multi-site team environment in multiple time zones.
Education
BE or MTech in Electronic/VLSI Engineering.
