We’re looking for a passionate EUC Principal Engineer to help us deliver and manage a new modern Workplace for the entire company. The role will be partnering closely with our Enterprise Architect covering all End User Computing and Microsoft Security services globally. In addition, this individual will partner closely with broader application teams across Elanco and enterprise architecture community to support their EUC needs.

The role does not include direct people management, however the EUC Principal Engineer will be expected to provide technical leadership, coaching and support for the EUC engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Delivering new EUC projects & requirements.

• Creating high-level and low-level designs for managing Windows, macOS, iOS & Android via Intune.

• Partnering with TSO (Technical Service Owner) to influence the roadmap for EUC services.

• Conducting Impact Assessments to assess impact of key updates/changes and preparing environment to handle them.

• Focus on Microsoft Security Zero Trust strategies while creating a great user experience.

• Implementing production changes following Elanco’s Change Control process to ensure smooth implementation.

• Troubleshooting and fixing more complex EUC issues that cannot be resolved by L2 and L3 teams.

• Coaching and mentorship for junior team members.

• Identifying opportunities to optimize and modernize the EUC Architecture, driving cost efficiencies.

• Identifying and positioning new EUC technologies that yield competitive advantage.

• Embedding security, privacy, data protection and quality assurance across the EUC estate.

External Engagement

• Engaging in the community (internally and externally) across multiple channels, looking to share, educate and inspire.

• Establishing strong partnerships across the architecture community and Information Security, helping to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

• Working with InfoSec on the implementation of the EUC security roadmap.

• Serving on various forums to analyse projects and programs to ensure they are technically sound, will do no harm, and will deliver the expected outcomes.
   

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

• +5 years’ experience across EUC.

• +5 years’ experience in infrastructure engineering environments.

• +5 years’ experience in an operations environment, with an understanding of ITIL.

• +5 years’ experience in technology project leadership, managing and advancing complex, global environments.

• Extensive experience with the following technologies: Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Windows 10/11, iOS, macOS, Android, Windows 365 Cloud PC, SCCM, VMWare Horizon Cloud and Active Directory.

• Strong PowerShell scripting experience

• Experience working with public cloud services specifically Microsoft 365.

• Experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions.

• Experience working with modern architecture methodologies (Service Orientated Architecture, API-Centric Design, Twelve-Factor App, FAIR, etc.).

• Demonstrated influence and communication skills across all levels of IT and third parties.

• Demonstrated strength in facilitation skills.

• Strong organizational and communications skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that resulted in a definitive direction and result.
