As Principal Engineer Consultant (contingent worker), you will guide a team of engineers to develop hardware systems. Your purpose is to drive innovation, ensure technical feasibility, and manage project timelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to handle complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality products. Leading the design and development of hardware systems and improving product performance and cost-effectiveness. This role is a part-time consulting role approximately 8-16 hours per week based on the project nature.
- Training and monitoring a team of engineers to improve team's technical capabilities.
- Creating and maintaining necessary documentation and driving best practices.
- Managing project timelines and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Optimizing problem-solving and diagnosis. Mentoring less experienced personnel on this process.
- Schedule adherence of project deliverables
Requirements:
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical field with extensive engineering experience.
- Knowledge - Excellent knowledge and technical understanding of both digital and analog circuit design
- Skill - Advanced proficiency with Computer-Aided Engineering tools, Oscilloscopes and Analyzers, and Modeling and Analysis tools.
- Skill - Able to develop product design specifications, develop solutions, and analyze and resolve system hardware issues.
- Skill -Exceptional technical leadership, project management, and communication skills.
The hourly bill rate will be proposed by the consulting vendor bidding for this work based on market norms.
