Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer Circuit Design /Senior Principle Engineer Circuit Design to join our team of creative and diverse engineers within the Electronics and Payloads directorate. The position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Responsibilities will include:
Designing, analyzing, and testing high-reliability power and control electronics
Conduct circuit design, analysis, and simulations
Perform Hardware testing and validation
Provide manufacturing test support on deliverable hardware
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Engineer Circuit Design or Senior Principle Engineer Circuit Design level based on the qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications: Principle Engineer Circuit Design
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 1 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Experience designing and testing analog and power circuits
Proficiency with PSpice or Simplis/Simetrix or LTSpice and MathCAD
Knowledge of control systems and feedback theory
Ability to obtain and maintain an SSBI/SCI security clearance
Basic Qualifications: Senior Principle Engineer Circuit Design
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience, or 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Experience designing and testing analog and power circuits
Proficiency with PSpice or Simplis/Simetrix or LTSpice and MathCAD
Knowledge of control systems and feedback theory
Ability to obtain and maintain an SSBI/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Control Systems or Communications and 5 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment
Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret or SSBI/SCI clearance
Experienced in power converters/electronics development
Experienced in Earned Value Management Systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
