About the Role
As a principal engineer - build & integration, you will drive build and integration activities across Android, Linux, and embedded software platforms. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating software delivery processes, managing complex system integrations, and supporting release engineering initiatives to ensure high-quality and efficient product delivery.
What You Will Do
Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD.
Manage Build & Integration activities across Android, Linux, and embedded platforms.
Develop automation solutions using Python, Groovy, Go, and Shell scripting.
Support Android framework builds, package build systems, and dependency management.
Manage multi-repository integration using Git, Repo Tool, and manifest management.
Build and maintain Docker and Kubernetes-based build environments.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
Configure and support Nexus and Artifactory repositories.
Drive release engineering, versioning, branching, tagging, and software delivery processes.
Troubleshoot build, integration, and CI/CD issues while improving build performance and reliability.
Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and release teams in Agile/Kanban environments.
What You Need to Be Successful
8–12 years of experience in Build & Integration, DevOps, or Release Engineering.
Strong expertise in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps.
Hands-on experience with Android Framework builds, Gradle, Make, and Linux build environments.
Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Groovy, Go, and Shell.
Experience with GitHub, GitLab, SVN, and source code management practices.
Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS, and GCP.
Bonus Points if You Have
Experience with Nexus, Artifactory, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
Hands-on experience in managing multiple projects.
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 2%, domestic or international.
Be willing to work in an office. However, this role is eligible for HARMAN remote-flex mode with occasional trips to Bangalore office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice).
