About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Android HMI Developer to develop and optimize Android-based HMI applications for automotive infotainment systems. The role requires strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, UI development, and preferably AOSP/Android Automotive, with a focus on performance, system integration, and delivering seamless in-vehicle user experiences.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain Android-based HMI applications for automotive infotainment systems.
- Implement UI/UX designs using Android frameworks and custom components.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, system engineers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Optimize application performance for embedded systems with limited resources.
- Debug and resolve issues related to Android HMI application behavior, performance, and system integration.
- Work with Android SDK, AOSP, and Android Automotive platform as required. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and system architecture planning.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Android UI development, and custom views.
- Experience with AOSP customization and Android Automotive platform is a plus.
- Understanding of automotive software development and HMI/IVI system architecture.
- Familiarity with CAN, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols is desirable.
- Experience with tools like Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.
What You Will Do
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in Android application development, particularly for automotive HMI/IVI systems.
- Hands-on expertise in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, Android UI development, and custom views.
- Experience with AOSP customization and Android Automotive platform is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of automotive HMI/IVI architecture and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with CAN, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols.
- Experience with Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
