As a Principal Engineer at Perry AI, you will lead the technical development of a category-defining platform that automates complex legal workflows for global VC funds. What you will do:
Architect and ship end-to-end features using TypeScript, Node.js, and React while maintaining enterprise-grade security for sensitive legal data.
Build sophisticated document processing engines that parse, analyze, and redline DOCX and PDF files to extract critical investment terms.
Integrate and optimize LLM workflows to automate complex legal busywork, turning messy inbound emails and documents into structured, actionable data.
The ideal candidate:
8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a mastery of TypeScript, Node.js, and modern React patterns.
Proven track record of building and scaling production-grade APIs and handling complex data schemas using MongoDB and Express.js.
Strong product intuition and a "ship-first" mindset, comfortable navigating the ambiguity of an early-stage startup to deliver user-centric solutions.
