JOB OVERVIEW
The Principal Data & Visualization Analyst will analyze consumer data, generate business insights, and develop reporting to identify and recommend growth opportunities for Topgolf Callaway Brands. This position requires fluency in data and data modeling languages (SQL, Python) along with the business acumen required to drive customer KPIs. In this role, the analyst will collaborate with marketing teams across multiple brands and a centralized data engineering team. The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating and communicating across various roles and levels, including leadership.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Query and analyze data within Snowflake to track marketing KPIs and assess business health.

Effectively present insights and educate both internal and external leadership teams.

Interpret data and dashboards from the perspective of diverse internal stakeholders.

Design and develop impactful reporting and visualizations

Partner with internal business teams and brands to brainstorm design ideas, layouts, and functionality throughout the development process.

Work directly with vendors to resolve issues and collaborate on product improvements.

Run basic ML experiments like classification, clustering, and regression for business insights and decisions.

Use Power BI's integration with Python to conduct ML experimentation within the reports.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
-
Advanced skills in SQL, specifically for Snowflake, to write efficient queries for marketing data analysis.

Ideally has experience coding in Python for ML and data pipeline work

Expertise in DAX for creating advanced calculations, KPIs, and complex logic.

Experience in embedding Python scripts in Power BI for more advanced data analysis and custom visualizations.

Understanding of marketing KPIs (Customer Lifetime Value, Customer Acquisition Cost, ROI, etc.) and how to structure data models and dashboards to reflect these metrics.

Proven ability to enhance efficiency through automation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or other “STEM” programs

Eight or more years of experience in consumer data analysis and reporting,

Six or more years of experience working with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI
-
Four years of experience working with large databases and data sets.

Knowledge of golf and sports industry is a plus.
