As we continue to evolve and expand our technological capabilities, we are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to join our team and drive advancements in our data-centric AI and machine learning initiatives.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an accomplished Principal Data Scientist with deep expertise in data-centric AI and machine learning to spearhead transformative projects at Cardlytics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in refining our technologies by converting unstructured and noisy transaction data into structured, actionable insights. This role involves optimizing audience and moment targeting, developing critical measurements and insights for various stakeholders, and contributing to the overall advancement of our data-driven advertising solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research and development efforts in applying AI and machine learning to enhance Cardlytics' technologies.

  • Transform unstructured and noisy transaction data into structured data for better analytics and performance.

  • Optimize audience and moment targeting to drive superior advertising outcomes.

  • Develop and implement critical measurements and insights for publishers, advertisers, and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced data-centric solutions into our platform.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AI and machine learning, and apply relevant innovations to Cardlytics' projects.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of industry experience in machine learning and AI applications.

  • Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Python, Spark Scala, Java, C++, or R.

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) with big data tools including BigQuery, Hive, Athena, Spark, and SparkSQL.

  • Significant experience (5+ years) with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-learn, SparkML, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, and LibFFM.

  • At least 1 year of experience with MLOps systems such as SageMaker or Databricks MLOps.

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of successful project execution.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the advertising technology industry or related fields.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-impact projects.

  • Familiarity with additional machine learning tools and platforms.

Compensation

At Cardlytics salary ranges are determined based on factors such as role, level, and location. Individual compensation may be determined by relevant skills, experience, education, training, and other role-specific criteria. This salary range will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of the aforementioned factors.The base salary range provided below does not include bonuses and additional benefits.


The annual US base salary range for this role is:

$195,000-$240,000
