As a data scientist in the TPG Data Science Products Group you will use sophisticated analytics to accelerate product development at Micron. You will leverage machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and data science techniques in close collaboration with product engineers to drive innovation and improve product capabilities. There will be significant opportunities to perform exploratory and new solution development activities.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement AI and ML solutions to support product development and optimization
Collaborate with functional domain experts across product engineering teams to understand domain problems and identify solutions
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and apply them to solve sophisticated problems
Qualifications
BS + 10 years, MS + 7 years or PhD + 5 years of data science and / or semiconductor industry experience majoring in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or equivalent.
Experience developing and deploying data science solutions including data engineering, application of Machine Learning algorithms, UI/UX, or ML Ops.
Proficient in program languages such as Python or R.
Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, and a passion to teach others about data science and continue to learn new techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience and or knowledge in the semiconductor industry is preferred
Experience in the memory industry and/or product engineering is highly desirable
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$156,000.00 - $331,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
