Job Description:
Principal Data Scientist, R&D, Science positions offered by Manhattan Associates, Inc. (Atlanta, Georgia). Provide advanced Analytical, Data Science, and Machine Learning expertise as a Data Scientist focused on the inception and research of Data Science and ML use cases, including the continuous development and deployment of DS/ML models on our Manhattan Active Machine Learning platform. Collaborate with Science Leadership, Product Leadership, and Application Development Teams to identify, research, prototype/validate/benchmark, develop, and deploy ML-empowered solutions. Collaborate, guide, and assist product and ops teams on the full lifecycle support of use case models and solutions – including performance analysis, tuning and troubleshooting of production models. Work with large, complex data sets to extract, analyze, visualize, and infer meaningful insights. Research, experiment, and benchmark new Data Science, ML, & MLOps methods and technologies. Communicate, present, and document data science and machine learning concepts and solutions effectively, especially when communicating with non-technical business leadership, partners, and customers.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or related technical field and 7 years of experience in the position offered or 7 years of experience performing analysis, research, prototyping, validating, development, productionalization, and lifecycle management of Analytical, Predictive, Data Science, ML-based models and solutions. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 7 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated. Also requires 5 years of experience performing development using Python and leading open-source frameworks, packages, and tools to support the various stages of model research, development and productionalization. Employee reports to office in Atlanta, GA. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
