You will act as a mentor and technical leader, elevating engineering excellence while driving scalable, interoperable, and future-ready data solutions.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Architect and lead the implementation of large-scale platform components, including Data Lakes, SDKs, Data Catalogs, and Access Control layers, ensuring scalability and modularity.
Drive cross-functional technical design sessions, aligning platform architecture with business priorities and modern data mesh principles.
Design, develop, and optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines with a strong focus on observability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Champion data discoverability by advancing federated data catalog architecture and enforcing metadata standardization across domains.
Integrate AI-assisted data management tools to enhance governance, lineage tracking, and operational workflows, enabling smarter and more autonomous data ecosystems.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and promoting best practices across DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
Collaborate closely with AI/ML, analytics, and governance teams to ensure robust security, regulatory compliance, and continuous innovation across the platform.
The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role:
“We digitize everywhere possible using the power of code to maximize our impact on patients.”
“We act with dynamic range, driving strategy and execution at the same time at every step.”

Moderna Insights
What We Do
At Moderna, we believe messenger RNA, or mRNA, is the “software of life.” Every cell in the body uses mRNA to provide real-time instructions to make the proteins necessary to drive all aspects of biology, including in human health and disease. Given its essential role, we believe mRNA could be used to create a new category of medicines with significant potential to improve the lives of patients. We are pioneering a new class of medicines made of messenger RNA, or mRNA. The potential implications of using mRNA as a drug are significant and far-reaching and could meaningfully improve how medicines are discovered, developed and manufactured.
