Principal C++/Linux Engineer, Boston or Marlboro
Nasuni is expanding its world class development team and is looking for a software engineer with strong skills and experience in design, development and performance optimization of storage, database or distributed systems. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in advancing Nasuni's cutting-edge technology. As the Principal C++/Linux Engineer, you will...
-Participate in requirements analysis, design, design reviews and other work related to expanding Nasuni’s offering
-Take ownership of one or more existing system components, design and implement new functionality, and maintain and support existing features
-Improve performance, scalability, and stability working closely with QA and Performance teams
-Work with customer support to address escalatioion
-Implement code using the team’s coding standards and guidelines.
-Provide code coverage through unit tests.
-Perform code reviews for self and the team.
-Use Python and Python testing framework, Pytest, to write tests and troubleshoot issues uncovered by tests.
-Author tests and contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines.
-Troubleshoot root cause issues in own code or assigned areas.
Minimum experience + qualifications we look for are...
- BS in EE, CE or CS
- 7+ years of experience in software development of storage (block, object or filesystem), database or distributed computing systems
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and expertise in Object-Oriented Programming
- Expert skills in C++ and multi-threaded programming in Linux environment is required
- Expert user-space debugging skills
- Experience with system level performance analysis methods and tools is desirable
- Knowledge of networking and experience in developing application protocols is a plus
- Familiarity with Python or Go
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
