Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Define and manage the corporate data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, data flows, and data lifecycles for critical business domains.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data catalog and data dictionary, promoting data literacy and understanding across the organization.
- Establish data quality frameworks, metrics, and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data owners to identify data requirements, resolve data-related issues, and drive data stewardship initiatives.
- Architect and oversee the implementation of master data management (MDM) and data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of data governance tools and technologies, ensuring their effective integration and utilization within the GE ecosystem.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to data professionals, fostering a culture of data excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data governance, data architecture, and information management.
- Communicate complex data concepts and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data governance, or information management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or principal capacity.
