This is a U.S.-based remote position. The work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30a -5:30p Eastern time. Our Benefits offerings include Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401k with company match, and PTO.
This position has responsibilities that include working with a government contractor; therefore, U.S. citizenship is required. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines from ERP/SQL sources into BigQuery.
- Administer and optimize Google Cloud Assured Workload FedRAMP environment, including Dataflow, Data Transfer Service, and BigQuery.
- Develop and maintain LookML semantic models to support self-service analytics and conversational analysis in Looker.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all systems.
- Collaborate with business teams to translate reporting needs into scalable data models.
- Monitor system performance, optimize queries, and automate workflows.
- Own the full data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, and visualization.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
- Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform tools: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Data Transfer Service.
- Experience with Looker and LookML.
- Proficiency in Python or Java for data engineering tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (VPN, VPC) for secure data transfers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to client environment compliance.
- Experience with ERP data models (VAI ERP preferred).
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and government compliance frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex systems.
